Huawei to Launch Its First 5G Smartphone By 26 July 2019
By July 26, 2019, Huawei is going to launch its first 5G smartphone in the market of China.
Even though virtually dominating the 5G network infrastructure, Huawei still does not have a smartphone of its own. That will change with the release of Huawei Mate 20 X 5G. It is almost sure to happen in China on the 26th of this month.
The Mate 20 X 5G will reach the shelves of China, Italy and the United Arab Emirates by the end of this month, the company promised.
By July 26, 2019, Huawei will launch its first smartphone with 5G support in consumer retail.
Additionally, on July 2 2019, at the annual conference of ICNTC (China institute of communication) Huawei in collaboration with China mobiles released the “User Experience Driven 5G Slice SLA Assurance White Papers”
Features of Huawei Mate 20 X 5G
The Huawei Mate 20 X 5G is a smartphone basically identical to the Huawei Mate 20 X. But some of the features differences put it apart from his older brother. The same story, we already saw with Samsung and its Galaxy S10 Plus variant with the 5G connection.
In the case of the Chinese smartphone, we have a 7.2-inch screen with Full HD + resolution.
In addition to the speed of connection to the mobile internet, the new device will have Kirin 980 HiSilicon processor, a battery of 5,000 mAh, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB internal storage.
This all is to provide better support for the new 5G Balong 5000 modem.
The gadget also features an optical zoom mechanism similar to that of the P30 Pro, with five times of approach.
The 40 megapixels is for the main sensor, 20 megapixels for the ultra-wide lens and 8 megapixels for optical zoom. However, the phone does not have the latest technology feature which is Waterproof.
The uncertainty of Huawei Mate 20 X 5G smartphones in other countries
The delay in launching the smartphone in several countries is certainly linked to the deadlock of the commercial war between the Trump government and China.
It raises uncertainty about the possibility of the smartphone or not Android.
While the impasse continues, Samsung thanks for practically not finding competition in the market of smartphones with connection 5G – since the Moto Z3 with Snap for this type of connection depends on the accessory, it is not a modem that is installed inside the mobile.
Since Huawei is still on the list of companies with which US companies cannot do business. So, it is not yet known about the availability of the device in other markets.
Due to the American presence and strong government lobby of Donald Trump in other nations, the arrival of Mate 20 X 5G is not certain. This situation aggravates the repeal of Android use license imposed by Google.
In England, the plan of Huawei was to launch the smartphone in the month of June. But, this idea was dismissed with the growing tensions.
US President Donald Trump announced that he would ease this “ban on trade” from Huawei after meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in the G20.
However, the policy has not yet officialized it. And, Huawei is still on the list of companies under the radar of the American authorities.
The facilitation does not remove the company from the careful eyes of the American entities. But, they may release it to do business with companies of the country when there is no threat to national security.
That has not yet caused Huawei to shift its position regarding Google (for whom it has a temporary license to use Android) and component maker ARM, for example.
Mate 20 X 5G – Price
In the United Arab Emirates, the Mate 20 X 5G may cost approximately US $959, while the US $1,238.
