The new cheap and next-generation pocket computer Raspberry Pi 4 is now available in the market, with much more computing features and new options.

Also, realize that the developer’s team has retired the legacy graphic driver. Instead, Pi 4 has the Mesa “V3D”.

Ktec designed an appropriate power supply (5V/3A), now available in the market. You can use Pi 3 power supply with Pi 4 after changing USB micro-B to USB-C.

Upgraded Silicon

All previous Raspberry Pi models rather than Pi 4 have 40nm silicon core on board. The developer’s team upgrades the performance by installing a progressively smaller silicon core (28nm) without increasing the cost.

The power saving possible by the smaller silicon core allowed the developer’s team to change Cortex-A53 with Cortex-A72. This smaller silicon core design can execute more command per clock and offers performance 2-4 time better than Pi 3B+, according to the benchmark.
